Research interest
Wir sind unter anderen vor allem an neuen organokatalytischen Reaktionen und Methoden (Thioharnstoffe, Oligopeptide), Nanodiamanten (Diamantoide) als Bausteine für Materialien (z. B. organische Elektronik), der Matrixisolation reaktiver Zwischenstufen (z. B. Carbene) und der computational chemistry interessiert. Insbesondere verfolgen wir derzeit experimentelle und quantenmechanische Studien zu äußerst spannenden Tunneleffekten in der Chemie.Die Arbeitsgruppe ist sehr international mit Mitgliedern derzeit aus China, Deutschland, dem Iran, der Tschechischen Republik, der Ukraine und den Vereinigten Staaten. Neben interessanten Gesprächen über mehr als Wissenschaft führt dies natürlich zu einem Stimmengewirr und ungewöhnlichen Gerüchen aus unserer Küche…
