Abstract
Porous silica materials were prepared through nanocasting of stable isolated pseudopolyrotaxanes from alpha-cyclodextrin and polyamines. The characterization by transmission electron microscopy, nitrogen sorption and small angle X-ray scattering shows that the obtained silica materials possess quite high porosity and elongated pores.
