The An=1‐exciton in CdS can hardly be excited by light of polarisation E ∥ c.
Abstract:
By simple rotating the sample connected with an increasing of the
transition probability the energy transfer between excitons and
impurities can widely be changed. The measured excitation spectra of the
integrated luminescence (720 nm < λ < 900 nm) are compared with
the absorption, thereby unintentionally doped and thin crystals are
used.
