Abstract
A new species of caddisfly in the family Pisuliidae from the Democratic Republic of the Congo is de-scribed and illustrated herein, Silvatares holzenthali sp. nov. Based on the presence of a pair of spines on the endotheca, this species belongs to the thrymmifer group. Additionally, Silvatares laetae is recorded for the first time from the D.R. Congo.
