Abstract:
Research projects on food and nutrition security and food systems require multidisciplinary approaches. A different understanding of supposedly 'clearly defined' technical terms can make cooperation difficult here. Based on several workshops with participants from different disciplines with relevance to nutrition and subsequent research in already existing (partial) glossaries, this paper presents for the first time the draft of a technical glossary with currently 145 terms ranging from 'acceptance of food' to 'Z-score'. The glossary in English contains definitions from various databases and scientific sources. To support communication within the food and agriculture community, a "living" glossary has been created and is regularly updated and added to as needed.
