Abstract:
Medicolegal autopsies according to 87 ff of the German code of criminal procedure should include a good documentation of all relevant findings. Digital photography is already well known to be very helpful to demonstrate and interpret expert opinions to all parties involved in criminal proceedings. An understandable language in combination with a good photographic documentation supports the necessary comprehension and can help to avoid a lack of understanding. Epiphanoscopy is a very useful supplementation to establish a qualitative better documentation.
