Abstract
We analyse the decay tau -> pi pi nu based on the recently developed techniques to generate axial-vector resonances dynamically. Under the assumption that the a, is generated entirely through coupled-channel dynamics, one gets a reasonable description of the spectral function. Including, in addition, an explicit elementary a, does not improve the results. (C) 2008 Elsevier B.V. All rights reserved.
