Abstract:
A relation connecting the spin dependence of the energies E(I+2) of the members of the rotational ground-state band with the E2 reduced transition probabilities B(E2;(I+2)(1)-> I-1) is derived based on the Bohr Hamiltonian. This relation generalizes the Grodzins relation from the 2(1)(+) state to all members of the ground-state band.
