Abstract
This paper reviews the current status on conservative therapy of Peyronie's disease including oral and intralesional drug administration, and iontophoresis that enhances the transdermal drug transport. According to the criteria of "evidence-based medicine" only few substances have been proved, only two oral drugs and one for intralesional administration have been demonstrated to be effective. lontophoresis has been only investigated under the application of a drug combination according to strict criteria. Further prospective studies for verification of first results urgently required.
