Abstract:
We tested the hypothesis, that the evaluation of the subtest Labyrinthe of the Grundintelligenztest Skala 1 (CFT 1), a German adaptation of Cattell's Culture Fair Intelligence Test - Scale 1, may partly depend on the information given to the evaluator (e.g). concerning what this subtest is intended to measure). A study comparing two evaluation conditions showed that an evaluation based only on the instructions from the test manual results in lower raw scores than one that is also based on knowledge about the measurement intention. Implications for the interpretation of the resulting raw scores are discussed.
