Abstract
Scopaeus bertiae sp. n. from the Moroccan Atlas Mountains is compared with the closely related S. longicollis Fauvel, 1874, S. kovaci Frisch, 1996 and S. proculus Normand, 1934. These species form the S. longicollis group. The characters of the group, which occurs in the West Mediterranean region, are described. Further distributional data on S. longicollis and S. kovaci are given.
