Abstract:
Due to the intensifying competition in the market of financial services suppliers have to offer innovating, tailor-made solutions for customer specific financing problems. Describing the Financial Engineering System FES it is shown how an ''active'' consulting process can be supported by an integrated information system. In this paper, the emphasis is put on the way different problem solving methods and paradigms of software development can be used for and integrated in the development of a system as mentioned above. Beyond that, the relevance of the considered methods for other domains of financial services is pointed out.
