Abstract: 
A series of random samples was carried out to validate a new model for diagnosing couple relationships using the Giessen test. The model delineates all theoretically possible types of couple relationships in the course of which individual scores can be compared simultaneously with standard scores. The interpretation is based on a twodimensional diagram, which is to be understood as a reduction of a more complex structure.
