Abstract:
Phymastichus coffea LaSalle, a recently described genus and species of Eulophidae, was investigated in Togo for possible use as a biological control agent of the coffee berry borer, Hypothenemus hampei Ferrari, in Central America. Rearing methods and details of its biology are described. Data are given on the life cycle, oviposition behaviour and the degree of parasitism of Phymastichus coffea.
