Abstract
We compared a number of known ortho- and disilicates, as well as analogous oxides of germanium and tin with each other (mol. volumina, Madelung Part of Lattice Energy, MAPLE, characteristic coordinationnumbers and groups of polyhedra) and with CsKNa2Li8{Li[SiO4]}4 as well as K5{Li[Ge2O7]} we give a short introduction of these two new exponents of silicates and germanates (HOFMANN, J. & HOPPE, R.).
