Abstract: 
Mann [7] has shown that non-trivial symmetric (upsilon, kappa, lambda)-designs with upsilon = 2-alpha points have parameters upsilon = 2(2i+2), kappa = 2(2i+1) +/- 2i and lambda = 2(2i +/- 2i. In this paper we prove a similar result for square group divisible designs with upsilon = 2-alpha and lambda-1 = 0.
