Abstract
Crystals of about 5-6 mm in length of the hexagonal potassium tungsten bronze K0.25WO3 have been prepared by chemical transport experiments in a temperature gradient using HgCl2 as a transport agent. HgBr2 was also found to be an efficient transport agent for the system.
