Abstract
Nutrient availability of suspension fertilizers varied with the reactivity of the added lime. A small amount of burned lime led to volatile N losses, while a fine-ground dolomitic limestone had almost no effect on the N and P components of the suspension. Moreover, compared with a normal-ground dolomitic limestone of the same origin and with other lime fertilizers, fine grading of the dolomitic lime considerably boosted the efficiency of the lime.
