Abstract
Amino acids and sugars in floral nectar of Hibiscus rosa-sinensis, Malyaviscus arboreus, Abutilon pictum, and Fuchsia speciosa are secreted independently of each other. In the investigated samples, neither a significant positive nor a negative correlation of amino acids and sugars is present. The results agree with our previous findings but differ from those of Baker and Baker (1973 seq.).
