Abstract: 
The frequency of pathotypes in relation to cultivar resistance, age of leaves, number of virulence factors, and temperature has been studied. Pathotypes with three or four virulence factors prevailed on both cultivars although only two were needed to overcome the resistance genes. Pathotypes with one or two virulence factors were rare. During the seasons 1984 and 1985, the variability of isolates was greater for those from cv. ''Varunda'' than from cv. ''Aura''. Our results also showed that temperature is an important factor to influence the spectra of pathotypes.
