Abstract

Double-differential cross sections are calculated for high-energy γ-ray emission in intermediate-energy nucleus-nucleus collisions on the basis of individual nucleon-nucleoan bermsstrahlung. Using a microscopic phase-space model for first-chance nucleon-nucleon collisions and a semiclassical expression for p-n bremsstrahlung agreement is found with experimental data from roughly 40 MeV/u to 84 MeV/u.
