Abstract: 
The method according to Dirksen (1975) of determining diffusivity is briefly described and tested with some samples. The experience gained in this test is used to derive modifications for both the experimental part and the evaluation algorithm. The method is recommended, first of all, for respective scientific or practical investigations because it requires but a few instruments.
