Abstract

Using self-consistent solutions of the constrained Hartree-Fock-Bogolyubov method (CHFB), we treat time-odd terms taken from the Skyrme hamiltonian within first-order perturbation theory and obtain new quasiparticle levels. It is shown that the new terms are very important at high spins. Moreover, with roughly-fitted parameters, they lead to better agreement with the experimentally determined yrast and alignment plots.
