Abstract

The predictions for the spin alignment in the single 2+ excitation in 12c+ 12c scattering in four typical models, i.e., the Austern-Blair diffraction model, the Band Crossing Model, the DWBA model and the strong-coupling model, are compared among themselves and with experiment.
