Magnetic moments for rotational states in heavy nuclei have been calculated in the framework of the cranked Nilsson model. Pairing interactions are included and treated fully selfconsistently, thus taking into account rotational alignment and Coriolis antipairing effects. The calculated g-factors reflect the backbending behavior: nuclei with sharp backbends show strong drops of the g-factors with spin I. Measurements of g-factors would thus constitute the first experimental proof of neutron alignment.
