Abstract
Cesium chloride centrifugation of DNA of haploid and diploid suspension cultures of D. innoxia indicated the occurrence of 2 DNA satellites (1.705, 1.720 g/cm3). The percentage of the DNA of 1 satellite (1.705 g/cm3) on total DNA is about twice as much in haploids compared to diploids. The protein content was about the same at both ploidy levels; its separation by analytical disc electrophoresis indicated some variation in protein distribution pattern.
