Abstract:
Investigations were conducted about the yield components and the effect of the characteristics to yield. In winter rapeseed grain yield was influenced in most cases by yield per plant and not by population density. The number of kernels and pods per plant showed a positive effect to yield per hectare. To increase the grain yield per area it is recommendable to increase the yield per plant by a higher number of kernels, higher number of pods and in a smaller extent by an increasing number of kernels per pod. In winter rapeseed there was no positive influence of 1000-kernel weight to grain yield. In summer rapeseed there was positive correlation between 1000-kernel weight and plant yield per hectare.
