Abstract
Investigations on the influence of thiamine, pantothenic acid, m-inositol, IAA, NAA [naphthalene acetic acid], 2,4-D, kinetin, GA3 and 6-BA [6-benzylamino purine]) on callus growth, shoot and root formation of explants of 8 varieties of rape (B. napus L. emend. Metzger) and on colza (B. rapa L. emend. Metzger var. silvestris [Lam.] Briggs) and kale (B. oleracea L. var. viridis L.) revealed a close correlation between genetic factors and the response of tissue culture to these substances. Best growth was obtained with explants of kale, lowest with colza. Root formation could be induced in explants of all varieties of rape, colza and kale; shoot formation was observed in 3 varieties of rape and kale.
