Thermal properties of finite nuclei are investigated using the thermal Hartree-Fock approximation. Particular emphasis is placed on the temperature dependence of liquid drop model parameters and of geometrical properties of nuclei. The surface effects have been determined by separating the bulk properties of nuclear matter, obtained from an equation of state, from the results for finite nuclei. Explicit numerical expressions are given for the temperature dependence of the various quantities.
