Abstract
Dark brown and bright green specimens obtained by rearing at different temperatures and optical conditions were analyzed for pterine and ommochrome contents. The integument of dark brown imagines contained up to 8500 .mu.g ommochrome/g dry wt; that of dark green imagines only traces. Conversely, the bright green integument contained .apprx. 630 .mu.g of pterine, that of dark brown only .apprx. 450 .mu.g/g dry wt. Riboflavin was found only in the ommochrome-containing integuments.
