Abstract

Many studies have documented the advantage of reduced and no-tillage systems in terms of decreasing surface runoff and soil erosion. Runoff is one of the major pathways of the pollution of surface waters by agro-chemicals. The present study tries to evaluate the contribution of surface runoff to the displacement of herbicides from the target area and the effects of two different tillage systems on the dissipation of isoproturon, atrazine and metolachlor.
