Abstract: 
Forest Ecosystem Services（FES）is crucial and irreplaceable to human survival and welfare. Currently, forest ecosystem service valuation has become an important research content and a hot problem in ecology and ecological economics. This paper firstly summaried the research progress both at home and abroad on forest ecosystem services evaluation, the theory and method of assessment, characteristics, etc., and then on this basis pointed out that the research of forest ecosystem services evaluation is still in the process of constantly enrich, improve and expand the study scope etc. In the future, the study should further expand research areas and scope, focus on the spatial heterogeneity of forest ecosystem services, and perfect forest ecosystem services assessment methods and indexes, etc.
