Abstract:

An approach for fast screening of hydroxymethylfurfural in honey by high-performance thin-layer chromatography is suggested for the first time. The detection was performed by densitometric scanning at 290 nm. Using this approach, it is possible to screen up to 20 samples simultaneously, and the separation takes just about 5 minutes.
