Abstract

Samples from beach drift were collected and separated into size classes at 16 sectors of the south Bulgarian Black Sea coast between 1979 and 1995. Fresh shells of more than 50 species of gastropod were identified in the size classes ≤ 1 mm and 1–3 mm. Ten are described and shown to be new for Bulgaria. The identity of Omalogyra atomus (PHILIPPI, 1841); Setia cf. turriculata MONTEROSATO, 1884; Cerithiopsis minima (BRUSINA, 1865) and Marshallora adversa (MONTAGU, 1803) is dicussed. The gastropod Ammonicera fischeriana (MONTEROSATO, 1869) is the first recorded species of this genus for the Black Sea.
